Jesus read from the Book of Isaiah these words:
Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luk 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
When Safe Harbor Baptist Church was started, we adopted these verses as our mission statement. We realized that there were still poor, brokenhearted, captive, blind and bruised people with us today. The message of Jesus is that He provides all we need but we must hear the message.
We sought to have a Church Fellowship based on the King James version of the Bible. old fashioned music hymns and preaching, but also on the love that accepts folks where they are and helps them to become all that God wants them to be. Jesus did not come to condemn the world, John 3:17, but to offer salvation.
At Safe Harbor Baptist Church in Cochranville Pa., through our preaching and teaching of the Word of God you will find love and the truth that leads to the Safe Harbor in Jesus, Our Savior.
